Bono And Girls Just Hanging Out..That's Entertainment

So here it is. You happen to be a super huge rock star. You have one of the most commercially successful bands in the history of modern music. You travel the world as an ambassador of peace and goodwill amongst nations. You hobnob with some of the most important people of the twenty-first century. You have been married to the same woman for twenty-six years. Just to relax, you decide to hang out with a buddy of yours and two nineteen year-old girls in St. Tropez. So what's the big deal?

Apparently it is news worthy. It is amazing how quickly all of somebody's accomplishments go flooding out the window, the moment there is the possibility of some kind of impropriety. There isn't even a single individual who is willing to say anything unseemly happened.

Bono took a break this past weekend from whatever his rock star music making life required of him, to relax with some friends. There happened to be two teen-aged girls who were part of that group. Probably the daughters of an extremely wealthy individual who Bono is friends with. There is nothing deviant being alleged and there are no sinister photographs. However, the Daily Mail can't wait to publish what pictures they do have and leave the insinuations up to the readers.

This isn't the first time the Mail has tried to embarrass Bono. They did have shots of him and Penelope Cruz on a beach in 2007. Nothing like trying to bring down a music icon. Really, who cares?! Most human beings, married or not, female or male, would love to take a stroll with Penelope on the beach. Most people are not perfect. This guy lives a very different life than most of us. It's amazing that this even makes news.

They should focus more on when Bono is speaking about ending world hunger or dropping the debt held against some third world nation. That stuff at least has some significance. The rest of this sneaky photography and innuendo is garbage. The guy is a superstar. Leave him be. If there is something there, it's for him and his wife to deal with. Nobody else really cares. If you think anybody really gives a flyer if Bono is stealing time with some bikini babe, try and get a ticket the next time U2 is having a concert in your town.
